Gluten Free Recipes

Prior to going "gluten-free" in 2008, I was a major foodie.  I loved cooking and trying new recipes and still do.  After my transition from "normal food" into the gluten-free world I found it hard to find good recipes.  Often recipes would claim to be "delicious" or "just like the real thing" prompting me to try their "delicious" recipe with excited anticipation.  I can't tell you how many times I have been disappointed by gluten-free recipes that claim to be "just like the real thing."

One of the original blogs that I came across that actually has quite a repertoire for recipes that are delicious and gluten-free is called GlutenFreeMommy.  The things that I like most about her recipes are that they are straightforward and uncomplicated and more importantly that they use normal ingredients rather than super-specialized ingredients (like almond flour that you have to buy online for a small fortune).  GlutenFreeMommy really gave me hope that not all gluten-free food had to be taste free and that experimenting in the kitchen was a good thing.

So...after 5 years of gluten-free experimenting and trying new things I have decided to share my recipes and tips for making food that is gluten-free and delicious (yes the two can be synonymous!).
